The discussion focused on global and local aspects of the textile industry, its environmental and social impacts, as well as possibilities for sustainable transformation. The re-(t)exHile project combined experiences from Nigeria and Slovakia, mapping the movement and recycling of used clothing and its impact on the environment and communities. The discussion brought together members of the author collective and local stakeholders from various backgrounds who had actively participated in the artists' research and contributed their own practices and perspectives on the Slovak textile industry and what remains at the end of its production cycle. It addressed issues of responsible production and consumption, as well as new models of fashion in times of climate crisis. We thank Miroslav Futrikanič (SK-TEX, s. r. o.), Simona Hlaváčová (Baterkáren), and Ľubica Vargová (Natur Pack) for joining the discussion.
