As part of our further development of project re-(t)exHile, we have had the pleasure of collaborating with students of the Fashion Design department from the School of Design in Bratislava, under the guidance of their teachers Alexandra Sebő and Henrieta Tholt.
The project and upcoming exhibition re-(t)exHile respond to the environmental, socio-cultural, and economic impacts of the crisis caused by overproduction and waste in the textile and fashion industries.
As part of this collaboration, the Fashion Design students contributed to the creation by sewing new pieces to be added to the textile installation for the exhibition at the Synagogue – Center for Contemporary Art in Trnava. The partnership also included consultations and a workshop led by members of the authors.
