On March 7th, something extraordinary unfolded in Oslo City Hall. For just one day, our collective action and exhibition, re-(t)exHile, transformed the space into a living testament to solidarity, resistance, and the power of textile as a language of care and protest.
To everyone who came—who stood, listened, and engaged—thank you for being part of this ephemeral yet unforgettable moment. Your presence turned the hall into a space of shared urgency and tenderness.
To the incredible performers who lent their voices, bodies, and spirits: Kwame Aidoo, Mattias Helberg, AK Dolven, Paulina Stroynowska, Yildiz Yalcin, and Oscar de Carmen—your contributions were the core of this action.
To the hands and hearts that co-created the textile installation—Sydilla Bjørvika, Sydilla Romsås, Atelier Sygruppe Ensjø, MIN, Nabolagshuset Trosterud, Sy om og sy med / St.Hanshaugen Frivilligsentral, United Sisters / Forandringshuset Grønland, Hersleb videregående skole, Einar Granum Kunstfagskole, RELOVE, Oslo National Academy of the Arts (Art and Craft), and Ullern kultursenter—this work was stitched together by your collective labor, stories, and trust. Every thread carries your dedication.
And to those who made it all possible behind the scenes—Bo Krister Wallström, Truls Ramberg (KORO), Frida Rusnak, and the many friends who lent a hand, a tool, or a word of encouragement—this would not have existed without your belief and hard work.
